This was an interesting project. One of the shows The Zoomer involved having guest speakers join our show live from across the globe. The way would would achieve this is by having them join us live via skype.
The studio was equipped with the ability to have upto 4 live Skype participants at a time.
Guest speakers and participants who were on the show sat at a custom round table that we had built that was the iconic set piece for the show. As part of the creative process we wanted to also make it seem like the participants on skype were also on set.
Scavenging through our props we found some installation pieces that we used to make these custom LCD panel holders. Together my Set Designer, Director and myself planned out and made two of these set pieces. We lovingly and unofficially called them Beebop and Rocksteadi.
